The Camp Najerog papers detail the activities of the camp and its director, Harold "Kid" Gore. The collection consists of correspondence between Gore and campers, parents, and counselors; camper reports; camp-related sports and activity records; camp co-ord charts; Boy Scouts of America magazines; meeting and event materials; American Dairy Goat Association handbooks; 4-H Club activity materials; photographs of dairy goats; and photographs of campers.

Historical Note

Camp Najerog was established in 1924 in Wilmington, Vermont as a summer camp for boys. Situated on Lake Raponda and run by Harold "Kid" Gore (1891-1969) and wife Jane Pollard (1896-1981), Camp Najerog operated for more than 40 years. Campers participated in a variety of activities which ranged from caring for Toggenburg goats to water skiing and archery.
