Historical Note

Stanstead, Quebec, is located just north of Derby Line, Vermont. During the 19th century, Stanstead and a few other Canadian localities maintained close ties with the Danville Association which was founded in 1809 and consisted of several Baptist churches in the northeast kingdom of Vermont and a few churches from New Hampshire.
