Burlington, Vermont School Records

The Burlington School Records consist of various papers from the period 1829-1965 pertaining to the schools of Burlington, Vermont. Included are district school records from the 1820's-1860's, truant officer records from the early 1900's, scrapbooks from 1901 to 1943, cash account books kept by the superintendents from 1868-1935, tuition accounts 1894-1932, and Board of School Commissioners records from 1868 to 1914. The collection also contains student grades and report cards from 1861-1925, examination and lesson plan books for the period 1884- 1898, records of teachers' meetings 1883-1906, printed and published material and ephemera from the 1870's to the 1950's, various P.T.A. papers and scrapbooks from the 1930's-1950's, W.P.A. worksheets and account for school jobs in the mid-1930's, and miscellaneous other school related papers.
