Scope and Contents
The Howard Frank Mosher Papers contain materials and records relating to Howard Frank Mosher's career as a writer and novelist. It includes Mosher's writings: manuscripts and notes for novels and articles, published articles, and reviews authored by Mosher. There are also reviews of Mosher's works authored by others. The collection also includes correspondence between publishers, publicists, fellow authors, and personal correspondence. There are materials relating to the films made based on Mosher's novels, including screenplays, correspondence, and publicity. There is also publicity materials for Mosher's writings, including posters, events, correspondence, and book tour information. There are legal and financial papers with financial statements, royalties statements, and book and film contracts. Biographical / Historical
Howard Frank Mosher (born 1942) is an author based in the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont. Mosher has written numerous novels, several of which have been adapted into films, including A Stranger in the Kingdom, Disappearances, Northern Borders, and Where the Rivers Flow North. He has also written articles for various magazines and publications. He is the recipient of several awards for writing. Mosher lives in Irasburg, Vermont with his wife Phillis; they have two children.

Collection contains manuscript drafts, revisions, typescripts, and other versions of Mosher's stories, novels, screenplays, and other writings, as well as correspondence with publishers, general correspondence, reviews, published materials, publicity, photographs, a movie poster, financial records of his royalties, and other materials that document his writing career in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
