The records show the buying and selling of land by Antoinne Papineau, Oliver Papinieau, Solomon Papineau, Julia Papineau, Matthew Door, Charles Door, Carroll Bartlett, Lawrence and Melinda Egan, S.A. Walker, Allen Martin, and others. The Papineau and Door families appear to be relatives of Theodore's mother, Melinda (or Malinda) E. LaPorte Egan.

Biographical / Historical

Theodore M. Egan (1906-1975) was a native of Underhill, Vermont. His parents were Lawrence A. Egan (1876-1956) and Melinda (or Malinda) E. LaPorte Egan (1871-1942). Theodore graduated from the University of Vermont in 1927. He married Gladys (or Gladyce) Scottbo (or Scott) in 1930 and they made their home in Springfield, Massachusetts. They had a son named Richard (1931-1979). Theodore and Gladys divorced in 1942. He served from 1942-1944 in World War II. It appears that he later remarried a woman named Mary; they appear in Florida in 1945.
