The Benjamin Collins Papers document his work as chief aid to Vermont Governor Philip H. Hoff including work in state government, ideology at a time of rapid social change, political campaigns, and the Youth Project of Vermont which Collins directed.
Clark/Field Families Collection
The Clark/Field families papers consist of two cartons of miscellaneous family manuscripts dating from 1795. The materials span five generations in the two families. The collection includes scattered correspondence, some business papers, a few diaries and account books, drafts of various orations and speeches, local government and county court records, and assorted other paper materials.
Frank Lester Greene Papers
Frank Lester Greene served in the US House of Representatives from Vermont, 1912-1923. Prior to his tenure in the US House he had been active in Republican clubs and activities in the state and served with the Vermont National Guard in the Spanish-American War. The collection of papers primarily includes family documents, photographs, military papers, speeches, articles, correspondence, campaign material and family memorabilia.
Lee E. Emerson Papers
Emerson was elected as a Republican to the Vermont House of Representatives in 1939, the Vermont State Senate in 1943, served two terms as lieutenant governor, 1945-47, before he was elected governor in 1951-53 and 1953-55. The collection covers the years 1941-(1951-1955)-1962.
