Lucius E. Chittenden Papers
The Lucius E. Chittenden papers include correspondence, letter books, account books, court dockets, transcriptions of testimony, lists of books, notebooks recording a trip to England (1871) which includes impression of bookseller Henry Stevens and various libraries, notes on rare books, notes on formation of the Republican Party in 1848, translations by Chittenden of descriptions of early French explorations of North America.

Parker Family Papers
The Parker Family Papers consist largely of Civil War letters to and from Moses A. Parker. Parker's letters, many of which are to his fiance and eventual wife Eliza E. Hale Parker, offer considerable detail on the daily life of the Civil War soldier. The Parker Family was from Concord, Vermont.
Parker/Fleming Family Papers
The Parker/Fleming Collection deals primarily with the descendants and relations of Charles Carrol Parker (1814-?), a Congregational minister who preached in various churches in Vermont and Maine, and Elizabeth Fleming Parker (1813-1979), his wife. The letters span the time period of 1835-1909, with the bulk of the collection lying between 1863-1879.
Shepard Family Papers
Collection contains the Civil War letters of Harvey Shepard and his son Fenimore Shepard. Both served as Infantry Privates. Some letters of Joseph S. Perkins of the First Vermont Cavalry and Fenimore's eventual brother-in-law, are also present. There are a few additional addresses and regimental reunion materials.
Smith-Kilborn Papers
The Smith-Kilborn Letters consist of Kilborn family correspondence from 1862-1863, mostly consisting of letters from the Kilborn men who were serving in the army. The collection also contains Smith correspondence from 1872-1880. Most of these letters are addressed to one Eva E. Smith (occasionally spelled Evah).
Tabor H. Parcher Papers
Collection contains several letters of Civil War soldier, Tabor H. Parcher of the 10th VT Regiment, to his wife Sarah, as well as Parcher's diary.
Thomas Hawley Canfield Papers
The Thomas H. Canfield Papers can be divided into three sections: the correspondence and papers of Thomas H. Canfield, Sr., those of his son, Thomas H. Canfield, Jr. (1874-1964?), and those of the Hopkins family into which Canfield, Sr., married. The collection contains biographical and genealogical material for both families.
William Stow Civil War Letters
Letters of Private William Stow of the Second Vermont Infantry in the Civil War. Includes a few letters of his brother Lewis, also in the second.
William W. Wells Papers
William Wells was an Army officer during the U.S. Civil War and Adjutant General of Vermont. Collection includes correspondence, diary and military papers including rosters of Vermont Cavalry, ordnance reports, orders, and clothing and equipment returns.
