Landscape photography

Images of Vermont depicting many buildings and landscapes but also including some people. The formats present include slides, prints, and negatives.

The L.L. McAllister Collection includes portraits, construction projects, buildings, businesses and events in the Burlington area covering the period ca. 1920-1960. The collection also includes photos of street, bridge, airport and sewer construction and repair, as well as group portraits of clubs, schools, etc.

The collection documents the Buell family in Burlington, Vermont, with some representation of related extended families including Bell, Twitchell, and Tracy. The collection consists of several photographs along with a few financial and genealogical records.

The oversize photograph collection contains miscellaneous photographs too large for the picturae files and oversize photographs removed from manuscript collections. Many are identified only by subject.

A collection of 3,000 Vermont stereographs, most of which are landscapes. The stereographs are arranged in two series, town/place and subject.

Collection consists of 35-10 1/4" x 14" photographic prints of Vermont scenes including sheep farming, sugaring, and Governor Smith's house in St. Albans.
